Draft of August 2026 · The Quiet Sky

Unreviewed draft: not fit to publish

This document was written by the people who built the app, not by a lawyer. It describes the software accurately, but it must not be relied on as a published policy until a person has read it and recorded the date.

The quickest route is the contact form in the app's footer. It sends your message straight through and stores nothing along the way. The address itself is not published anywhere, which keeps the inbox free of scraped-address spam and your message out of the pile.

Where to write

Operated by QuietSky, based in the United Kingdom; a postal address is available on request at contact@quietsky.co.uk.

Locked out of your account

Use the "Forgotten your password?" link on the sign-in form first. It emails a link that is valid for one hour and works once. If it does not arrive:

If it still does not arrive, write to the address above from the mailbox in question and it can be sorted out by hand.

Deleting your account

You do not need to ask. Account deletion lives in the app's account settings, takes the current password as confirmation, and removes your sites, rigs and logged imaging sessions along with the account. It cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first, and until the self-service export exists, "export" means asking at the privacy address above.

Something looks wrong in the forecast

Useful reports include the site coordinates, the night in question, what the app predicted and what the sky actually did. Reports like that feed the model-skill scoring directly and are genuinely more valuable than they sound.

Response times

This is a small operation, so replies are not instant: expect a few days. Privacy requests are answered within one month, as UK GDPR requires.
